Technology is improving the sharing of knowledge across organizations and creating a learning environment by accessing information at the speed of light. Small and medium sized businesses can benefit from virtual assistants, outsourced human resource departments and online trainings that allow their employees the same benefit once afforded to only the largest of organizations.
Many companies are expanding their footprint outside of their regions by including locations worldwide and utilizing translation services to share ideas and marketing concepts while sitting in their offices. The myriad of sites on the internet has given businesses in many industries the ability to communicate with additional target markets by using technology to reach clients that may be diverse by generation, geography or gender.
Information is available on diverse populations, cultures and rituals that can be incorporated in your organizations, hiring practices, board members and client base. Using search engines seem common place to today whether you use a hand held device, traditional network PC or Alexa. As we celebrate Black History month this February, we are reminded of the many accomplishments and historic events that have showcased the achievements within the African American community. One of the top search engines, Google used Google Trends Data to celebrate some of the most searched moments and individuals in America to commemorate Black History Month. The commercial now trending has had more than 23 million views highlighting athletes, scholars and celebrities that are Black History makers. This is a great opportunity to create an environment of inclusivity by acknowledging their important contributions to our lives.
